LE PONANT is a unique vessel that has just benefited from a complete 'rebuild' so the interior and exterior decks are all new. The layout was updated to create 16 large comfortable guest suites, and the schedule for 2023 and 2024 takes her to some stunning destinations that would be 'once in a lifetime' opportunities to explore with extended family and friends.
She sails beautifully and the Captain and crew make the most of every opportunity to sail rather than motor. The experience of sailing on LE PONANT is wonderful, with minimal running rigging the crew are able to leave the expansive deck areas free for guests to relax while silently cruising under sail. Her rigging design is impressive for those who are sailing enthusiasts, as she uses giant hydraulic rams to trim the sails.
The cuisine on board is outstanding, and a big part of the experience. The Execuitve Chef is French and there is a team of five in total in the galley.
The crew also includes an Expedition Leader and expert Naturalist, who will be able to guide the guests to ensure the most memorable experiences for both adults and children. Note the four expedition style Zodiac tenders are intended for real exploration of the ultra wild coastlines that LE PONANT will visit.
Choose from the available dates in the wild and wonderful area of the Kimberleys in northern Australia, or Indonesia and Papua. The itinerary on offer in any of these places is full of genuine excitement both above and below the water... rarely available to see while enjoying such luxury as LE PONANT and her crew offer.
The crew also includes a Beautician and a Sports Coach.
Don't let the long travel times put you off - this is an opportunity like no other. Unplug for a week or two in some of the last remaining wilderness areas.
The value for money offered by LE PONANT is also remarkable, since the charter rate includes all food, drinks, fuel, port fees, agents fees, and taxes. Make your own calculation about how this compares to other yachts... and consider the level of service from 34 crew and the completely new interior and exterior.
There is also a story about the Captain having grown up on board, since his father was the first Captain and shareholder in the initial ownership structure. Jean-David is a charming Captain and he maintains a happy and motivated crew - you can't fail to be impressed.
